The season of joy, fun and new illusions has just begun. Nature revives, renewing its gaderobe, greening every centimeter of its branches and colors each petal of its flowers, it is time to transform your home and to welcome the spring. And what better way to do it than with the novelty of the Aimós collection?

We are very grateful to be part of this 54th Exhibition of CasaDecor. A space full of inspiration, good taste and ideas, ideal for visiting and immersing yourself in the world of decoration.
In this issue you can see the candleholders of Cerabella, one of the many novelties that we present in the new Spring/ Summer catalog 2019.
A really nice room with lots of energy and ideal to be inspired. Finally we thank and congratulate Carmen Figueres for the great work that she has done with this styling: a spectacular setting!

At times, it’s not necessary to travel far to go around the world; with the light of a candle you can dream, imagine and even discover the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Hemispheres of the globe. The craftsmen of Cerabella put a lot of love into making it possible for anyone to imagine what Finisterre’s surroundings, the port of Boston, the Lighthouse of Alexandria and Mikomoto Shima are like.
‘Lighthouse collection‘. This is how Cerabella’s new collection of scented candles, which takes you on a journey to such places, is called. Through mandarin or amber scents, you can go to the first lighthouse in the world, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, while the “floral blend” of jasmine and white rose will take you to the environs of Boston Harbor.
But if you prefer to go to the “end of the world”, the Lighthouse of Finisterre is, without a doubt, the perfect place for you. Just by smelling the fragrance of this candle, you’ll imagine the waves crashing against the rocks and the fresh sea air of Cape Finisterre. A very similar sensation is what you get when you go to the oldest stone lighthouse in the world, which is known as Mikomoto Shima. The difference lies in the floral perfume that emanates from the Asian continent, where it is found. Grapefruit and patchouli notes are immediately noticeable as soon as you light the wick of the candle representing this lighthouse.
Four candles, four lighthouses and four great and unique opportunities to travel the world by simply lighting a flame. Which lighthouse would you like to discover today?

The BAS Festival, Bilbao’s Sacred Art Festival, took place in this city during 5 days and we had the great fortune to get Cerabella’s candles to take part in the light installation held in the Museo Diocesano‘s cloisters. This experience blended music, light and scents in a unique sensorial show which included Garbiñe Abendaño (soprano) and Doniene Choir performing sacred music from the Middle Age. We hope the images below comfort us for not having been there in person…

We love lighting candles to illuminate parties, so it was such a pleasure to attend Annes Eventos reception in the heart of the city.
We would like to share some pictures of this delicious afternoon in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona where were tempted to invent just any excuse in order to celebrate!
There is a video from that afternoon by Cineticstudio.

Candle’s last destiny is usually an enigma for a candlemaker and it is a pleasure if by chance we get to know where do candles finally bring their light. However, finding them related to the names of important poets and actors of our culture has really moved us.
In chapter 83 of the Literature TV programme Via LLibre , the actors Sílva Bel, David Selvas, Jordi Martínez and Nausicaa Bonnin, recite fragments of the work of poets born in 1913.
Before reading their words, the readers light a scrabble candle with the intials of each writer: Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel, Joana Raspall, Joaquim Amat-Piniella, Joan Teixidor and Marià Villangòmez.
Never had the candles sounded so well!

Once again, Moritz seduces us with creativity and design. In the Moritz Store in Ronda Sant Antoni, students from the Istituto Europeo di Design have developped a new installation called Souvenir. In this inspiring setting curated by Chu Uroz we are shown every place on earth where you can taste a delicious Moritz beer and, from every city, a unique souvenir is suggested.
So which is the icon that represents Barcelona? A candle with the industrial shape of Les Torres del Besòs heating plant!
Designed by Guillem Pericay and carefully handmade by Cerabella, this Barcelona’s skyline recognizable building is indeed the most indie and authentic souvenir you may find from our beloved city.

They are made of wax and they glow, but they are not candles:
These elegant translucent lampshades were specially custom made for the VII RBA International Prize for Crime Writing.
This year’s award-winner was the icelandic writer Arnaldur Indridason for his forthcoming book Shadow Channel.
The party took place in the modern headquarters of RBA publishers with the spectacular Barcelona night skyline as a backdrop.
